Proud to share: Client spotlight

As a public relations firm, we tend to stay behind the scenes while our clients shine. This month, however, we’re pleased to share some of what goes on behind the curtain.

The first quarter of the year has been jam-packed for many of our clients, notably Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma (GSWESTOK). Since January, our team has been hard at work collaborating with GSWESTOK’s dynamic team to promote Cookie Season, the 20th annual Juliette Low Leadership Society Luncheon, summer camps and various events. We’re proud to play a role in helping GSWESTOK build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.

Here’s a sampling of some of our work for Girl Scouts so far in 2024:

  1. Broadcast media: Our team’s extensive connections within the broadcast community allow us to seek out meaningful on-air opportunities for our clients. PLPR secured guest spots for GSWESTOK with various Oklahoma City-area news outlets including News 9, KOCO 5 News and KOKH Fox 25 to discuss a subject everyone loves to hear about: Girl Scout Cookies! Interviews like these allowed CEO Janienne Bella and multiple Girl Scouts to share the importance of Cookie Season in their own words.

  2. Print: Our team has the know-how to craft a compelling story from scratch and get it placed with outlets whose readership aligns with our client’s audience. Since Feb. 1, we’ve distributed more than eight press releases to a variety of media outlets and community calendars throughout central Oklahoma. From an editorial with Edmond Life and Leisure by CEO Janienne Bella to a multi-page JLLS spread in OKC Friday, our writers have been helping spread the word about the inspiring programs GSWESTOK has to offer.

  3. Graphic design: Our talented designers helped mark the 20th anniversary of the Juliette Low Leadership Society Luncheon by executing an elegant and cohesive design suite. Inspired by the story of Girl Scouts founder Juliette Low selling her wedding day pearls to found Girl Scouts of the United States in 1912, our team wove together elements of pearls, gold and signature Girl Scouts green for a compelling event program, signage and digital graphics. In addition to JLLS, we’ve kept our designers busy with a wide range of attention-grabbing flyers, digital graphics, brochures and more.

  4. Social media: From reels to captions and advertising strategies, our team has the experience to help boost your online presence. In February, we recommended new strategies for the Girl Scouts team, and with their internal staff’s buy-in, creativity and execution, their numbers have skyrocketed. While the average engagement rate for Facebook these days ranges from 1-5%, GSWESTOK is maintaining rates upwards of 30%. Instagram profile visits have increased by more than 80%, with content interactions up over 30%. For email marketing, GSWESTOK is averaging an open rate of nearly 50%—far beyond the national average of 36%.

By sharing our successes, we’re not only acknowledging the hard work and dedication of our Price Lang team members, but of our partners at Girl Scouts. True collaboration has led to big results, and we couldn’t be prouder of the role we’ve played.
